Venice 2022, fashion parades on the red carpet of the Venice International Film Festival
As every year, the Venice International Film Festival, besides being a reference point for lovers of the seventh art, is an opportunity to admire the looks sported by the stars on the red carpet. A flurry of styles and provocations, between successful outfits and a few flops. Here is what happened in the 2022 edition.
Fashion and cinema are two worlds that love to walk together, contaminate each other, touch each other. Over the years, many big names have lent their expertise as consultants for costumes and star looks. Likewise, cinema has repeatedly celebrated the world of fashion and its glories. It is at international film festivals and events, however, that these two universes really come together giving the best. An example of this is the Venice International Film Festival, which every year draws great actresses, actors, screenwriters and directors to the red carpet of the Venetian lido. And the red carpet that marks the entrance to the screenings turns into a catwalk for more or less daring and successful looks. Let's see how the2022 edition went.
The most talked about looks of Venice 2022
From the very first day, the red carpet in the lagoon gave spectacle and much satisfaction to lovers of style and gossip. Many memorable looks, both positive and negative. The outfit choices made by Julianne Moore, glittering but discreetly thanks to a Celine gown and Cartier jewelry, Tilda Swinton, enhanced by black Alaïa asymmetries, and Cate Blanchett, enhanced by a floral Schiaparelli gown, were the ones that garnered the most praise. Total black elegance also for some of the most beloved Italian actresses, starting with Monica Bellucci and Claudia Pandolfi, while Micaela Ramazzotti chose a luminous red. Among men, on the other hand, honorable mention to the always charming Brad Pitt, who sported a series of appreciable comfortable looks and even dared to wear a skirt, winking at fluid fashion. It was also a daring choice by Chalamet, who also sported a bare-back look by Aekermann on another occasion.
The final awards night show
It was the final evening, however, the event on which the spotlight shone most strongly and to which everyone looked on with attention and enthusiasm. And the red carpet did not disappoint. Starting with the Festival's patroness, Rocío Muñoz Morales, accompanied by her fiancé, actor Raoul Bova, both dressed by Giorgio Armani. By all accounts, however, the best looks of the evening were those sported by the aforementioned Cate Blanchett, awarded the Coppa Volpi for Best Actress, wrapped in a delicate Louis Vuitton gown, and Julianne Moore, signed by Dior. On the male side, however, among the actors who dared the most was undoubtedly Italian Alessandro Borghi, who walked the red carpet wearing a double-breasted floral Gucci suit.
